New for 2010, we’re having a contest to see who can pick up the most pet waste! Anyone can participate! Volunteers will be giving out raffle tickets to anyone seen picking up pet waste; the more the better! Items such as a weekend vacation to Las Vegas and Doggy Day care are among the prizes being offered to the winners. Ask any volunteer for more information.

The one with the most poop wins!

The Grand Prize winner in the Super Pooper Scooper Contest will be awarded a 3 day, 2 night vacation in Las Vegas (flight and hotel accommodations included – along with doggy day care/boarding* while your away).

In addition monthly drawings will be held. Anyone who has earned a ticket is eligible to win in the monthly drawings. To be eligible, all you have to do is scoop and dispose of your pets’ waste. Pick up a pile that another pet owner neglected to pick up and earn another ticket. Volunteers will be awarding raffle tickets** to anyone seen picking up pet waste.

This contest is aimed at rewarding responsible pet owners and it also helps keep the park clean and safe. Pet Waste is a health hazard and can lead to diseases. Help us maintain a clean dog park!

Tickets MAY NOT be purchased; they may only be earned.

*Doggy day care/boarding prize – pet must qualify in order to be accepted. Pet must be up to date on all shots, must have a valid dog license and must pass the basic screening/personality test and be spayed/neutered. Limit 2 dogs.

**There is often, at least, one volunteer at the park. In the off-chance a volunteer is not in the park, a “rain-check” raffle ticket will not be given. Volunteers wearing a Bow Wow Beach lanyard can provide raffle tickets for pet waste pick-up contestants. Recipient is responsible for their raffle ticket number(s); name/numbers will not be recorded. Winning tickets numbers from the monthly prize drawing will be announced on the Web site and posted at the park.
